Q: Now that your big project is ending, what will be your next target' I haven’t set my sight on anything as yet. I do hope to sign another big show soon. But nothing has been finalised as yet. But most important, I want to go back home to Dehradun for 10-15 days and be pampered silly by my parents. I have been working non-stop for the last nine months. So I need to chill out and do nothing at all for sometime. Q: Will you like to share the experience you had on the sets of Pyar Ke Do Naam — Ek Radha Ek Shyam…..' From Day One, it was really nice. I enjoyed playing the characters in all the janams. I absolutely loved my look. I have liked all the characters. It was a huge family. It was great to work with experienced actors like Mukeshji who played my grandpa. The people were really sweet and warm. It was like a family. Though it was very hectic, it was a pleasant experience altogether. Q:It seems you are going to miss them quite a bit! Oh, yes, definitely. I was very close to my onscreen mum Natasha Sinha. It was great with Surbhi, who played Indraneil’s bhabhi. I was pally with Vishal who played my brother as I knew him since my Balaji days. Tarun Khanna was very funny. He used to make us laugh so much with his jokes. I am going to miss all that... Q: You also got a chance to display your dancing skills. Especially in this janam, I danced quite a bit! I was happy about shooting the dance portions. We danced to hit Rajshri songs. It was great as I was either singing or dancing. Q: You have been linked with your costars, first Karan Singh and then Indraneil... I am handling all that okay. But more than me it’s my family who gets affected. Nobody from my family has been in this industry before. They keep hearing about all that and get disturbed. It’s hard on them but I try not to get stressed out. I guess it’s a part and parcel of being a TV personality. Your personal life tends to be intruded upon. I am learning to handle that. Q: What about plans to work with Rajshris in the future' If I do a movie, too, it’s going to be great if it’s with the Rajshris. It’s become a home for me. I would love to do more shows with them. Q: What about getting back to Balaji' There were apparently problems between you and them' It’s okay now. I would love to work with Balaji, too, if it’s something worth it. Q: What about modelling' You were a model before you started acting' Yes, I had participated in the Gladrags Mega Model contest in 2000. I was in college then and had won the title of Ms Body Beautiful. In Pune, while I was a student, I had done ramp shows and a few shoots. But I never really pursued modelling that way in Mumbai. I have always preferred acting more. (Sampurn) |
