Jamshedpur: Indian mens and womens archery teams will play a friendly tournament in Doha to acclimatise before the Asian Games. According to an Archery Association of India official, the archers will leave for Doha on September 17.
Arjuna award winners Tarundeep Rai and Dola Banerjee will lead Indias campaign at the upcoming World Cup and Doha Asian Games.
Talented Jayanta Talukdar and Chekrovelu Swuro were also in the squad, announced by the AAI on the concluding day of the three-day selection trial at JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday.
While the senior men and women recurve team will take part in all the five events, the women compound team will vie for top honours in the World Cup in Shanghai, Asian Circuit in Myanmar and Commonwealth Championship.
The compound mens senior team will take part in Asian Circuit and Commonwealth Championship only.
The World Cup would begin in Shanghai from September 26, Asian Grand Prix in Myanmar from November 1, Commonwealth Championship in Jamshedpur from November 8 and Asian Games from December 1.

Mens senior compound: Paltan Hansda, Chungda Sherpa, Santosh Tamang, Abhisekh Verma. Womens senior compound: Jhanu Hansda, K.H. Bhagyabati Chanu, Manjudha Soy, Sweety Kumari.
