Congress to improve tie with people

Jamshedpur, July 28: The Congressmen today resolved to improve people-to-people contact in order to regain the party?s lost strength in the Singhbhum region.

At the district-level meeting here, party leaders mooted the idea of opening ?help centres?, which will solve people?s problems. The meeting was attended by Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Madan Mohan Sharma and district president Ravindra Kumar Jha, among others.

The party leaders also stressed the need to keep people with tainted image away from party posts. There was also resentment among the leaders on party?s truck with the JMM. ?Despite our winning potential, we are forced to carry the flag of JMM during elections. This is really unfortunate,? said a leader.

Sharma, speaking on the occasion, called upon party workers to increase their contact with the people ?and this is possible only by sharing their problems.? Meanwhile, JPCC has finalised the names of the block presidents.
