Calcutta: Jockey Imran
Chisty was in his elements here on Thursday. He booted home
five winners in the afternoon’s seven-event race card,
including Senor Pele in the 1,200m Mica Empress Cup.
Chisty started off with Arabie and went on to stretch his winning tally until Senor Pele’s victory in the feature event. All his winners sported the gold-and-brown-belt colours of the racing baron, MAM Ramaswamy. While three of Chisty’s winners hailed from trainer Errol Bhungard’s yard, the rest were saddled by Daniel David.
