Brasilia: Brazilians think striker Ronaldo has been their best player at the World Cup so far, an opinion poll showed on Friday.

The Datafolha survey published in a Sao Paulo newspaper on Friday showed 27 per cent of those polled thought Ronaldo was the team’s best player. Kaka followed with 14 per cent, and Ronaldinho with 12 per cent.

Meanwhile in Berlin, Ronaldo said overtaking Gerd Muller was the culmination of years of hard work, but stressed that winning the World Cup has always been his number one priority. (Agencies)
