Sunday sensex up a tad

Mumbai, June 25: The sensex moved up by 11.63 points to close at 10412.93 in special trading today. The BSE and the NSE held special trading sessions from 10.30 am to 11.30 am to upgrade the capital market trading system hardware to improve the processing capability and handle increased activities in the market.

Boeing hub

Nagpur, June 25: Union civil aviation minister Praful Patel has dismissed speculations over the shifting of the maintenance repair overhaul (MRO) base project of Boeing from Nagpur to other states.

China surge

Shanghai, June 25: China's economy will expand faster this year than in 2005 as investment and exports grow. Gross domestic product will probably rise 10.3 per cent in the first six months before slowing in the second half for full-year growth of 10 per cent, the People's Bank of China said.

IndusInd stake

Mumbai, June 25: Foreign banks have shown interest in picking up an equity stake in IndusInd bank. The banks plan to pick up a 5 per cent stake in IndusInd initially, the upper limit prescribed by the RBI.

Foreign funds

New Delhi, June 25: A surge of foreign direct investment is expected from Taiwan, South Korea and Japan in the current fiscal, the NCAER has said.
