Jamshedpur, June 5: West Singhbhum police today named 14 Maoists in an FIR lodged in relation to the June 1 blasts in Saranda.
Twelve CPRF personnel were killed in the landmine blasts in the Saranda forests.
In addition, 30 rebels whose identities have yet to be established have also been named in the FIR.
The names include Rajesh zonal commander, Ram Chand, a commandant, Anmolda, the pointsperson for Saranda, along with his group.
The members have been charged under sections of the Indian Penal Code, Arms Act and Explosives Act.
The FIR was lodged on the basis of the statement of the officer-in-charge of Kiriburu police station, Chittaranjan Seth.
Deputy superintendent of police Vinod Kumar Singh has been made the investigation officer of the case.
According to superintendent of police (West Singhbhum) Navin Singh, the FIR was lodged after the police interrogated villagers, who identified the rebels.
The 12 CRPF personnel were killed in blasts triggered by the extremists at Kalaita, a village in the Saranda forest.
Prior to this, a three-member bomb squad of the CRPF?s Bokaro unit had diffused bombs planted by the extremists at Thalkobad school.
