Shasun Chem net up 18%

Shasun Chemicals and Drugs has posted a 17.59 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 36.50 crore for the year ended March 31, compared with Rs 31.04 crore in the previous year. Gross revenue rose 9.7 per cent to Rs 370.05 crore from Rs 337.33 crore in the previous fiscal. Operating profit rose 2.83 per cent at Rs 71.18 crore against Rs 69.22 crore in the previous fiscal. The board has recommended a dividend of 85 per cent.

TCI profit

Transport Corporation of India Ltd has reported a 56 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 16.03 crore for the year ended March 31 against Rs 10.29 crore in the previous year. Net revenue grew to Rs 864.10 crore from Rs 734.32 crore. The board has declared a dividend of 25 per cent against 20 per cent in the previous year.

Ahluwalia IPO

Ahluwalia Contracts (India) Ltd has filed its draft red herring prospectus with the Sebi on its proposed public issue of 31,25,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each via the book-building process. The company will offer 29,68,750 shares to the public and reserve 1,56,250 shares for eligible employees.

TCS centre

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has opened the Banking and Financial Services Solution Centre at Chennai. The consolidation of banking and financial services will help clients through integrated IT and business solutions.

Indicom move

Tata Indicom has launched Go Mobile ' Go Colour offer, under which the Kyosera Prisma colour mobile handset will be available for Rs 999 with standard pack of seven days validity and an initial talk time of Rs 50.

AMD launch

AMD has launched AMD Athlon 64 FX-62 and AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+dual-core processors compatible with AMD's socket AM2 platform. Socket AM2 introduces capabilities such as virtualisation to both commercial and consumer users.

Sanghvi stake

One of the promoters of Sanghvi Movers Ltd has sold a 14.9 per cent stake to Olympus Capital Holdings Asia, Clearwater Capital Partners and their affiliates.

UTI move

UTI Bank has joined hands with Geojit Financial Services to offer online trading services to clients. It is an integrated 3-in-1 offer, including a savings bank account, a demat account and an online broking account.

Prajay project

Prajay Engineers Syndicate Limited will start work on its information technology SEZ, Prajay Techno Park, at Nacharam in Hyderabad, from July.
