Ranchi, May 15: Ranchi University (RU) today nominated the co-ordinator of vocational studies, P.K. Verma, the in-charge of the Ranchi University?s cell to monitor preparations for NAAC accreditation.

The university has asked Verma to contact the postgraduate departments regarding the NAAC accreditation, said university spokesperson S.S. Akhtar. The NAAC liaison committee has been asked to submit a detailed report in this regard by June.

To expedite the pending cases of pension, RU today made inspector of colleges (arts and commerce) S.K. Verma the co-ordinator of the pension cell.

On the administrative front, the university authorised its officials to showcause their subordinates in cases of laxity. In its computerisation bid, the university has decided to float a tender for purchasing 15 computers for its various sections at the headquarters.

Meanwhile, the RU examination board today met to discuss the names of evaluators for the final examinations conducted by the varsity this year.
