Intel CEO in India

New Delhi, May 12: Intel CEO Paul Otellini will arrive in India on a two-day visit starting May 23. Although this is his second visit, it is the first one after he took over as CEO from Craig Barrett. Otellini will visit Mumbai and Bangalore and meet key business leaders, customers and CEOs. At Mumbai, he will deliver the keynote address at the Intel Capital CEO Summit, which brings together top managers of firms funded by Intel.

Nicco stake

Calcutta, May 12: The Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group will pick up a stake worth Rs 5.88 crore in Nicco Corporation Ltd, which is expected to report a net profit for 2005-06.

Shimla, May 12: Swedish luxury busmaker Volvo has proposed to invest Rs 1,500 crore to set up a manufacturing plant in Himachal Pradesh.

Inflation up

New Delhi, May 12: The wholesale prices-based inflation rate rose by 0.05 per cent to 3.59 per cent during the week ended April 29 against 3.54 per cent in the previous week.
