Dhanbad, May 8: DSA Railway, Dhanbad, defeated Tripura XI by 6 wickets to win the Concreto Cup in the All-India Summer Cricket Championship final at Tata-Digwadih stadium today, reports our correspondent.
Santosh Lal of the Dhanbad team was the Man of the Match for his 57 runs, including three sixes and six boundaries. Lal also took a wicket.
Winning the toss, Tripura team elected to bat as they did in the semi-final against Ranchi yesterday, but failed to repeat yesterday?s feat and the entire team was out for 161 runs in 34.1 overs.
With an easy target, the star-studded Dhanbad team started well as their opening batsmen, Manish Vardhan and Abhishek Moitra, amassed 64 runs before Abhishek got out on 34. Soon after Abhishek, Manish also returned to the pavilion on 26.
