Pulse polio
A meeting was held at Swasthya Bhavan on Tuesday in view of the pulse polio programme on Sunday. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi called for co-operation from everyone to make the pulse polio immunisation programme a success.
Convocation
The 11th annual convocation of Assam Institute of Management will be held at Pandit Tirthanath Sharma Memorial Auditorium on Friday. Member of North Eastern Council P.P. Shrivastav will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Workshop

Seminar
A three-day national seminar on ?value addition to bio-resources of North East India, post harvest technology and cold chain? will be organised by the department of botany of Gauhati Unive-rsity in association with Assam Science, Technology and Environment Council from May 19.
Health camp
HelpAge India, an NGO in association with the Udaypur Puja Mandap Committee, recently conducted a free health camp for elderly people in the Birubari area. Several senior citizens attended the camp.
Bihu utsav
A two-day Bihu Utsav will be held at Asam Sahitya Sabha Prakalpa from April 30. Cultural programmes and various competitions, including a quiz competition for students from Class VII-X, will be organised during the festival.
Meeting
The 226th state committee meeting of Assam State Centre of the Institution of Engineers (India) was held on Tuesday. Various issues were discussed during the meeting.
