Jamshedpur, April 17: The court of additional district and sessions judge, P.P. Pandey today reserved the verdict on the sensational triple murder case of Congress leaders Anand Rao, Janardan Choubey and Pradeep Mishra for next Monday.
The trio was shot dead on February 2, 1989, at Jugsalai.
The court, after hearing the arguments of the prosecution and defence lawyers, asked for production of the case diary before pronouncing the verdict.
The trio was murdered by contract killers, and Rashtriya Janata Dal MP from Siwan Mohammad Sahabbudin and Lok Janashakti Party legislator Rama Singh were allegedly involved in the case.
The prosecution revealed that the contract killers were given Rs 25,000 in advance to carry out the crime.
During the course of investigation, the police had arrested Singh from his hideout in Vaishali district of Bihar on February 21, 1989, and seized one of the five firearms used in the crime.
Court officials said the judge had directed the prosecution to produce the case diary before the court before April 17 during the last hearing on April 4.
?There was a delay on part of the prosecution in producing the case diary, and therefore the judgment was deferred till next Monday,? said the court officials.
