Karki’s quietly fancied Give Der Slip put in an inspired
performance to score a narrow victory over a less fancied
Regal Empress in the Romantic Notes Cup on Wedn-esday, the
penultimate meeting of the season. The horse had performed
poorly in his previous outing. Jockey V. Jagadeesh, who
partnered the winner also helped the trainer score a double
thorugh Moira earlier in the day. Daniel David and Imran
Chisty too notched up double apiece.
