Stalker near PM home

New Delhi, March 19 (PTI): Security personnel tonight detained a man who was found moving suspiciously around the Prime Minister’s official residence, sources said.

He has been identified as Gurmeet Singh alias Mitta from Bhatinda, Punjab, the sources added. His antecedents are being verified from Punjab. Central intelligence agencies and the SPG are questioning him.

Two days ago, a man carrying a detonator was arrested in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. The man from Bihar claimed the detonator had been planted at his home by some influential people who wanted to kill him as he wanted to reopen a case related to his brother’s murder.

Security forces were put on high alert after this.
