Siemens?Dubai order

A consortium of Siemens Ltd, India and Siemens AG, Germany has bagged an order worth Rs 640 crore from Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation to set up the power transmission network in and around Doha. The consortium had earlier got two orders amounting to Rs 2,600 crore in the first quarter of 2005-06. All the three orders would be executed within 19 months.

Tata bus

Tata Motors has entered into a partnership agreement with ATF Advanced Technologies & Fuels Canada Inc for advanced CNG technology for buses. They will launch a CNG bus demonstration project in New Delhi. The demonstration buses will start rolling in January 2007.

PNB merger

Punjab National Bank-sponsored four regional rural banks in Bihar have been amalgamated into a single regional rural bank, called Madhya Bihar Gramin Bank, with its head office in Patna. The new entity has 407 branches covering 11 districts.

NTN move

NTN Corporation has established a new joint venture company with National Engineering Industries Ltd in Haryana to manufacture constant velocity joints (CVJ), a key component for automobiles.

JHS offer

JHS Svendgaard Laboratories, an oral care products manufacturer, plans to tap the capital market for its Rs 50-crore expansion project, which involves setting up of wholly integrated facilities in Noida and Kalamb in Himachal Pradesh.

Brahma issue

Brahma Interactive will raise Rs 13.50 crore from the market through a public issue of over 50 lakh shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 17 to set up multiplexes at Bhopal and Indore at a cost of Rs 31 crore.

Gangotri IPO

Gangotri Textiles has filed the draft red herring prospectus with Sebi for a follow-on public issue of Rs 55 crore. The company will also raise Rs 257-crore syndicated loan for its proposed expansion cum integration project.

Satyam

Satyam Computer Services?s internal IT service management division has obtained the ISO 20000 certification. The company was originally certified for British Standard 15000.

Godrej

Godrej & Boyce?s appliance division is offering a Godrej Taurus electronic safe worth Rs 5,000 free on purchase of its Pentacool GFP 430S refrigerator for the Calcutta customers. It is also giving a discount up to Rs 6,000 on the refrigerator.

Progressive

Progressive Infotech has been awarded the BS 15000 ? 1:2002 certification for its service delivery by STQC IT Certification Services.
