Sourav to be felicitated

To commemorate the Kumartuli Institute's completion of 121 years, the club will felicitate former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly on Sunday.

CAB joint secretary Saradindu Pal who also happens to be a special officer and advisor for Kumartuli said: 'We will honour Sourav with the 'Best Bengali' award.'

Wari in semis

Wari AC entered the semi-finals in the CAB first division knockout tournament, thrashing Netaji Subhas Institute by seven wickets.

Customs win

Calcutta Customs opened their campaign in BHA first division group A with a 3-0 win over Sporting Union on Tuesday. A. P. Thapa, B.K. Jena and Jagdish Singh were the scorers.

In another match, Eastern Railway beat Punjab Sports Club 4-1. Savian Jojo (2), Hardip Singh and Britus Minz were on target for the winners, while Ajit Pal Singh scored for the losers.

Basketball

Rakhi Sangha beat Chetla Park AC 71-64 in a division I state basketball league match on Tuesday.
