New Delhi: Led by Romi Devi Asheem, India under-19 team women’s team will take on Kyrgyzstan in the Asian Championships Group III qualifiers at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Sunday.

Bangladesh are the other team in the group. India’s chief coach, Harjinder Singh said he hoped to make the final rounds in Malaysia in April.

“Some of the top players couldn’t make the camp because of school examinations, but I am sure of beating the two other teams in the group.”

Shukla Dutta of Bengal is the assistant coach. Tuli Gun and Alochona Senapati are the two Bengal representatives in the squad.
