ACA meeting today

Guwahati: Assam Cricket Association (ACA) has convened an emergency meeting on Thursday to discuss the fate of the fifth one-day match between England and India scheduled on April 9 following the announcement of state assembly polls on April 3 and 10.

ACA had earlier written to chief election commissioner B.B. Tandon requesting him to hold the polls in the state keeping in view the scheduled one-dayer, said ACA secretary Bikash Barua here on Wednesday.

“Now that the match is scheduled a day ahead of the second phase of the polls, we have called an emergency meeting tomorrow to discuss our next course of action,” Barua said.
