Taekwondo trials
Aizawl:
Lalremkimi of Mizoram has cleared the first stage of selection trials to represent India in the 17th Asian Senior Taekwondo Championships to be held in Bangkok from April 22 to 23. Lalremkimi will have to go through four more stages to finally be part of the national team. The trials are being held in Bangalore. The squad will also represent India in the first SAF Nations Taekwondo Championships in Delhi in May.
SAG centre
Guwahati:
The rafters of the steel roof truss of a 2000-capacity stand in the Kokrajhar Special Area Games Centre at Kathalguri that was displaced by winds recently has been repaired by the PWD. The concrete work has already been completed.
U-13 cricket
Guwahati:
City Cricket Coaching Centre (A) will clash with hosts Star Cricket Coaching Academy (A) in the final of the 11th Ashrafur Rahim (Raju) Memorial inter-coaching centre (under-13) cricket meet at Dispur Ground on Tuesday. The organisers will fete junior India international Abu Naschim Ahmed at the closing ceremony.
Bank cricket
Guwahati:
The 19th G.C. Goswami inter-bank cricket meet, sponsored by All-India UCO Bank Officers? Association (NE Region), will be held at Latasil Ground here from March 1.
ODI tickets
Guwahati:
Tickets for the April 9 One Day International between India and England at Nehru Stadium will be sold from temporary bank counters to be set up at the complex from the last week of March. Prices will range between Rs 150 and Rs 3,000 per ticket.
