Pankaj Roy Cup from Sunday

Eight corporate teams will take part in the Pankaj Roy 20/20 tournament at the BF Block Park, Salt Lake. The meet, being organised by the Pankaj Roy Cricket Academy, will be held over four weekends beginning Sunday. Announcing this at a press conference Thursday evening, Pranab Roy informed that the final will be held on March 26.

The eight teams ? HSBC, CitiBank, TCS, Eforce, Skytech, Ladvantage, IBM and Chembiotech ? will be divided into two groups. The top two from each group will advance to the semis. While the winners will receive the Pankaj Roy Cup, the runners-up will get the Ambar Roy Cup.

The 15th Mercantile Mixed Basketball Tournament will get underway at the Rangers ground on Saturday. Five teams ? Airtel, ABN Amro Bank, ITC, IBM Club and TCS ? will play a round-robin league, followed by the semis featuring the top four. The final will come off on March 4.
