Karachi: PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan leaves for Delhi on Thursday to attend a meeting to finalise the joint bid for the 2011 World Cup.

The heads of the Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan and Bangladeshi boards will attend the meeting. “We are very serious about the joint bid and have held initial talks among ourselves. We will try to finalise the bid in Delhi on Friday and ensure it is submitted to the ICC by the February 28 deadline,” a PCB official was quoted as saying.

The Delhi meeting is expected to finalise the number of matches each of the four countries will host. (PTI)
