Dabhol restart date

New Delhi, Feb. 15: The government will restart the 740-mw, phase-I of the Dabhol power project (DPC) from May 15 to meet peak hour requirements of power-starved Maharashtra, but the project will run initially on naphtha as gas supply has still not been tied up. 'The first phase of the plant will start from May 15 on naphtha to meet the peak-hour requirements,' said power secretary R.V. Shahi.

Relief bonds

New Delhi, Feb. 15: Investors of RBI relief bonds, which matures on March 15, have to apply to their respective banks 20 days before to get the repayment amount. To facilitate repayment of the 8.5 per cent relief bonds, banks and public debt offices have been directed to issue necessary advices to investors together with the prescribed form of receipt of their last known address.

Calcutta, Feb. 15: Kesoram Industries Ltd has informed BSE that the company will spin off Hindustan Heavy Chemicals Unit with all its assets on a going-concern basis.

Mumbai, Feb. 15: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd is looking for partners for its upcoming Bina refinery in Madhya Pradesh, said CMD Ashok Sinha.

HPCL credit

Mumbai, Feb. 15: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) today said it would raise $200 million through external commercial borrowings in yen-denominated currency.
