Chopra ends tied fifth

Pebble Beach: Daniel Chopra made a brilliant recovery with three birdies in four holes from 14th and registered his best finish of the year in tied fifth place at the at the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.

He shot a one-under 71 in the final round after being two-over at one stage.

Chopra totalled 10-under 278 with rounds of 71, 67, 69 and 71 and his earnings for the week were $ 205,200, will see him rise up the money list.

Arron Oberholser coasted to a five-shot win over Rory Sabbatini, while Mike Weir ended with a 78 and in tied third. Oberholser had a six-shot lead with six holes to play when he took bogey from the fairway bunker on the 13th. It was his first win on the PGA Tour. He earned a place into the World Golf Championships-Accenture match play championship at La Costa.
