Jamshedpur, Jan. 30: Over 150 companies, including multinationals like Knorrbhereme, Samsung, Sony, ITC, IBM and McKenzie, will take part in the four-day industrial and information technology trade fair at Gopal Maidan.
The trade fair, Enterprise, which will be jointly organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the state government, is scheduled to start from February 9.
This is the first time that the state government has joined hands with CII to organise the biennial trade fair.
CII chairman (Jharkhand) Ranveer Sinha said they have requested chief minister Arjun Munda to inaugurate the trade fair. Senior officials of CII said most of the state government?s departments, leading companies from different sectors, including steel, information technology, agro-based and railways, will take part in the trade fair.
?We have already received confirmation that most of the reputed companies will display their products during the fair The event will go a long way in disseminating information about the latest products on the market. It will also allow entrepreneurs to come across information on various products which they were previously unaware of,? said officials.
The fair will also comprise three separate seminars on private sector participation in urban infrastructure development, information technology and agro-based industry.
Some of the important participants, who have already given their confirmation to take part in the infrastructure seminar, are Tata Housing, Ramkey Group, L&T, Ramboll and IL&FS.
