Chandigarh: Local favourites Chandigarh Dynamos beat Bangalore Lions 3-2 to move to the top of the Premier Hockey League tier-I table on Sunday.

In the 12th minute, Deepak Thakur moved in from the left and earned the team’s only penalty corner which was converted by Devender Singh. Dynamos increased lead in the second quarter with a brilliant move, initiated and completed by Thakur. Balder Bomans (60th minute) struck the third.

Lions pulled one back in the 39th minute through a penalty corner, successfully converted by Len Aiyappa. Their second goal came in the 68th minute through Rehan Butt.

Orissa Steelers brushed aside the challenge of Delhi Dazzlers 3-2 with a last-minute goal in a tier II match.
