Calcutta: The Chess Players’ Association of India (CPAI) will organise a Grand Simultaneous Display at the Netaji Indoor Stadium on Saturday to mark its first anniversary.

The tournament will witness GMs Abhijit Kunte, Surya Sekhar Ganguly, Koneru Humpy, Sandipan Chanda, Tejas Bakre, Magesh Chandran, RB Ramesh, Women Grandmasters Nisha Mohota, Swati Ghate and Aarthi Ramaswamy among other top rung players, taking part.

The Grandmasters will take on about 300 talented youngsters from the state. The event will be held at the Netaji Indoor Stadium with support from Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, State Government of West Bengal & Calcutta Police.

Top 100 players from The Telegraph School’s Chess meet will get direct entry.
