Karachi: The five-member inspection team from India, which arrived in Pakistan on Sunday, will visit Karachi on Monday where India are due to play the third Test and a one-day International.
The panel, led by Yashovardhan Azad, will assess Pakistans security arrangements for Team Indias forthcoming tour, which starts next month.
This is a security inspection team and we are here to visit all the proposed venues to review arrangements, IGP Azad said on Sunday.
We have been sent here to also talk about the itinerary. We will be meeting senior police officers in Faisalabad, Multan and Lahore today, Azad said.
The recce party will travel to Peshawar on Tuesday before proceeding to Islamabad and returning to Lahore for further discussions with Pakistan interior ministry officials.
PCB director Abbas Zaidi said, They wanted to make an inspection visit and we saw no problems in that, but we are keen to have the itinerary officially released by next week.
