Pawar to watch Lahore Test

Mumbai: BCCI chief Sharad Pawar will visit Pakistan during India’s first Test in Lahore.

“I will visit Pakistan to see the first two days of the first Test in Lahore (beginning January 13) after attending the ICC meeting in Dubai on January 11,” Pawar said on Friday night.

Pawar, who had a meeting earlier in the day with a Bangladesh board official, said it has been decided that India would tour Bangladesh in 2007 after the World Cup in the West Indies.

“We have been invited to play two Tests and three one-day Internationals,” Pawar said.

Meanwhile, Greg Chappell and the three other support staff ' physio John Gloster, trainer Gregory King and bio-mechanic expert Ian Frazer ' on Friday signed formal contracts with the BCCI.

“They signed contracts till the 2007 World Cup,” BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said.

Chappell and the three others met Pawar before signing the contracts.
