Wellington, Dec. 18 (Reuters): Forty drunken Santas rampaged through central Auckland, stealing from stores and assaulting guards in a protest against the commercialisation of Christmas.

The incident has been linked to Santarchy, a protest movement in which participants mark Christmas in an anti-commercial manner.
