Security alert in Dhaka

Dhaka, Dec. 11 (Reuters): Security forces today went on a special alert after a bomb blast near Dhaka’s diplomatic area injured two persons.

Police said although the bomb was small, it was “a chilling reminder” that the perpetrators of the recent bomb attacks were still active.

Prince grilled

London (PTI): Prince Charles has been questioned by a former British police chief as part of the inquiry into the death of his ex-wife, Princess Diana. Charles was asked about events leading up to the deaths of Diana and her lover, Dodi Fayed, in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

Pryor dead

Los Angeles (Reuters): Comedian Richard Pryor died on Saturday at the age 65. Pryor had been suffering from a neurological disorder, for almost 20 years.

Pak blaze

Lahore (AP): A firecracker thrown by a celebrant at a wedding set a bus filled with guests on fire near here on Sunday, killing at least 40 people. The firecracker exploded under the bus’s fuel tank, setting it on fire.
