I Think
Are pedestrians responsible for road mishaps too?

Certainly. If pedestrians follow the traffic signals, use the footpaths and are careful while crossing streets, road mishaps may be prevented.

Soumen Bairagi
Chinsura

Every pedestrian should be responsible for his or her own safety. After all, it?s your life and you have to be careful.

Sushmita Bose (Mallik)
Calcutta

Pedestrians should strictly abide by the rules to prevent road mishaps. They should cross roads only at zebra crossings, avoid crossing roads when a vehicle is approaching or while speaking on cell phones.

Moumita Nandi
Calcutta

Most road mishaps occur due to the negligence of drivers. Severe punishment meted out to these drivers will ensure that they do not drive rashly and play with people?s lives.

Aliasgar Poonawala
The Frank Anthony Public School

Footpaths blocked by hawkers force pedestrians to walk down roads. Moreover, bus drivers racing among themselves add to their trouble. So, it is unfair to blame pedestrians for road mishaps.
