Air Sahara pact

Washington, Nov. 15: Air Sahara today entered the American airline market through a code sharing arrangement with American Airlines. The arrangement will formally take off with the inaugural Chicago-New Delhi non-stop service of American Airlines. The two airlines have agreed on a reciprocal frequent-flyer programme. The office of secretary in the department of transportation had given the final consent on November 8 to a filing on October 3 for approval of code share.

Spectrum rate

New Delhi, Nov. 15: The draft New Telecom Policy has called for a fair pricing of spectrum and equitable allocation, besides ensuring relocation of existing users. It has also suggested that spectrum be available circle-wise. Users need to ensure efficient, economic and optimal use of their assigned spectrum before seeking additional spectrum.

SBI licence

Dubai, Nov. 15: Saudi Arabia has given licence to the State Bank of India and nine other foreign banks to open branches in the kingdom. The banks have been authorised to open branches in the country, said Muhammad Al-Jasser, deputy governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, the country's central bank.

WTO talks

Busan, Nov. 15: Trade ministers of the countries under the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation agreed today on a joint statement aimed at reviving stalled global trade talks.

RINL plans

Mumbai, Nov. 15: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) today said its expansion plan of Rs 8,600 crore would be funded with a debt-equity ratio of 1:1. However, it is yet to chalk out the debt pattern.
