OCL India earnings increase
OCL India's net profit leapt 107.90 per cent to Rs 7.63 crore in the second quarter ended September 31 from Rs 3.67 crore in the year-ago period. For the first half of 2005-06, the company's net profit stood at Rs 22.19 lakh against Rs 15.68 lakh while the turnover stood at Rs 320.26 crore compared with Rs 265.59 crore during the same period last year. The board of directors has proposed to raise Rs 100 crore through issue of shares on rights basis to the shareholders, the company has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Monnet Ispat has posted Rs 25.30 crore net profit for the quarter ended September 30 compared with Rs 29.1 crore in the corresponding quarter last financial year. The company has announced an interim dividend of 30 per cent. Its turnover stood at Rs 126.4 crore during the quarter against Rs 132.4 crore in the year-ago period.
Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation has declared Rs 37 crore after-tax profit for the first six months of the current fiscal, up 27 per cent from Rs 29 crore in the same period last year. Sales during the reporting period grew 16 per cent to Rs 249 crore from Rs 216 crore. For the quarter ended September 30, the company's profit dipped to Rs 14.5 crore from Rs 16 crore a year ago.
Opto Circuits (India) has posted 61.3 per cent rise in revenue for the quarter ended September 30 at Rs 29.15 crore from Rs 18.07 crore in the same period last year. Its earnings during the quarter went up by 113.76 per cent to Rs 8.60 crore from Rs 4.02 crore. For the first half-year, the company clocked an 83.23 per cent jump in net profit at 13.61 crore, while revenues grew 54.5 per cent at Rs 48.40 crore.
Hexaware Technologies has announced an interim dividend of 30 per cent and the record date for its payment has been fixed as November 11. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 24.06 crore for the quarter ended September 31, up 45.5 per cent in the year-ago period. Revenues went up 20.1 per cent at Rs 175.57 crore. The company has proposed to merger its US subsidiaries ' SpecSoft Consulting Inc and Hexaware Technologies Inc.
BOC India's total earning from all its divisions during the April-September period this year soared 600 per cent to Rs 52.39 crore over the corresponding period last year. The company's net sale during the period rose to Rs 199.81 crore. The highlight of the half-yearly result was the superior performance by the company's project engineering division.
Finolex Cables has clocked a net profit of Rs 5.71 crore for the quarter in 2005-06, registering a 14 per cent increase from Rs 5 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenues during the quarter stood at Rs 145.19 crore.
