Surat: Central Zone defeated South Zone by eight wickets onfinal day of the Duleep Trophy league match on Sunday.
Chasing 49, Central raced to 52 for two in 7.2 overs to clinch victory. South, following on, resumed at 158 for five and were bowled out for 261 before lunch.
Sridharan Sriram played a lone hand and remained unbeaten with 136 (13x4).
