| Mary Pierce has moved to No. 5 |
London: Frances Mary Pierce, who won the Kremlin Cup on Sunday, moved up two places to No. 5 in the WTA Tour entry system ranking, according to the list released on Monday.
Kim Clijsters of Belgium crept a step closer to the coveted No. 1 spot, still being held by Russias Maria Sharapova. American Lindsay Davenport and Frances Amelie Mauresmo follow them.
Indias Sania Mirza, meanwhile, moved down one place to No. 32, while Shikha Uberoi climbed three to No. 146.
On the ATP list, Russias Igor Andreev, who claimed the mens title at the Kremlin Cup on Sunday, moved up a massive 11 places to No. 27.
Roger Federer of Switzerland is still the runaway leader, followed by Spaniard Rafael Nadal, American Andy Roddick, Australian Lleyton Hewitt and Russias Marat Safin.
Leander Paes of India and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia and Montenegro are at No. 6 in doubles, while Australians Wayne Arthurs and Paul Hanley are at No. 5. Just one point separates the two pairs.
On Sunday top seeds Paes and Zimonjic
lost to the second-seeded Australians in the final of the
Stockholm Open 3-5, 3-5.
