SUBJECT: Written test to be held on December 18, 2005, for the two-year postgraduate programme in rural management (PRM) and for the fellow programme in rural management (FPRM).

ELIGIBILITY: For the postgraduate programme: Graduates with a minimum of 15 years (10+2+3) of education and having 50 per cent (45 per cent for SC/ST) aggregate marks are eligible. Final year students can also apply. For the fellow programme: Candidates with (i) PRM from IRMA or a two-year full time postgraduate diploma in management from any recognised Indian or foreign university, with a grade point average (GPA) of 2.60 out of 4.33 or its equivalent and minimum two years experience; or (ii) One-year programme from IRMA with a GPA of 2.60 and minimum three years experience; or (iii) Postgraduate degree in any discipline with 55 per cent marks in aggregate (or a GPA of 2.60 out of 4.33 or its equivalent) from any recognised Indian or foreign university with two years experience; or (iv) MPhil in any discipline with 55 per cent marks in aggregate (or a GPA of 2.60 out of 4.33 or its equivalent) from any recognised Indian or foreign university. Only full-time work experience in managerial cadre, research, consultancy or teaching at degree/PG level will be considered experience.

PARTICULARS: PRM is a two-year residential programme comprising four different segments: classroom, fieldwork, organisational exposure and management training. FPRM comprises of course work, a comprehensive examination, a research/teaching module and a thesis. Areas of specialisation: (a) Management of cooperatives; (b) Agricultural/rural marketing; (c) Rural economics and natural resources management; (d) Development management; and (e) Micro-finance. PRM candidates are selected on the basis of a written test, GD and an interview. FPRM participants will be selected on the basis of the same written test as for PRM and an interview. Candidates with IRMA's PRM applying for FPRM are exempted from the written test. SUBJECT: The common entrance examination for design (CEED) to be held on January 22, 2006, for admission to master of design (two-year programme) at IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur and IISc Bangalore.

ELIGIBILITY: Bachelors degree or equivalent in engineering, architecture or design; interior design professional diploma of CEPT (five-year programme); BFA (professional course in applied art, fine arts); GD art (five-year professional course); professional diploma of NID, interior design degree (four years) / diploma (five years). All candidates must have completed 10+2+4 years of study or higher. Students in the final year of the above courses can also apply. Candidates must find out the final selection procedure from the institutions to which they seek admission. Reservation will be as per Government of India rules.
