India 2-1 up vs Aussies

Dharamsala: India under-19 defeated their Australian counterparts with a convincing four-wicket victory in the third one-dayer on Saturday.

The Australians won the toss and surprisingly elected to bat on the slow pitch to be bundled out for 129 in 30.3 overs.

The Indians comfortably achieved the target with 20 overs to spare to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match one-day series.

Openers Anirudh Srikkanth and Rohit Sharma gave a blazing start to the hosts’ chase after an early loss of Ali Murtaza. Anirudh with a quickfire 38 of 37 balls and Rohit (39) ensured that their team did not feel any pressure of scoring at a brisk pace.

BRIEF SCORES ? Australia 129 (V. Yomahesh 3/46, A. Murtaza 3/12). India 131/6. India won by 4 wkts.
