Taipei: Harmeet Kahlon showed a welcome return to form with a one-under 71 on a difficult day as the golfers battled strong winds and rain on the opening day of the $400,000 Mercuries Taiwan Masters.
Kahlon, flawless over the front nine, was tied sixth and the best of the five Indians in the field. Shiv Kapur battled to a round of two-over 74 after a double bogey start and was tied 36th, while Gaurav Ghei and Arjun Singh carded 75 each and were tied 52nd.
Uttam Singh Mundy was four-over and tied 62nd. (PTI)
