Agartala, Sept. 22: In a calculated bid to increase investment in the state, Tripura Gramin Bank (TGB) has devised a novel method by organising a ?mega loan mela?. On a single day, the bank disbursed
Rs 20.23 crore among 2,289 people on 15 schemes.
The loan mela was organised in Rabindra Bhawan yesterday, finance minister Badal Chowdhury and chief secretary R.K. Mathur attended the programme. Chowdhury appreciated the bank?s role in boosting development in the state by providing loans.
