Calcutta: Rushmi Chakravarthy and Sanaa Bhambri moved into the second round of the qualifiers for the WTA Sunfeast Open on Saturday.

Chakravarthy, seeded sixth in the qualifiers, had an easy outing against city girl Ragini Vimal 6-1, 6-3 in the first match of the day.

Seventh seed Sanaa beat Poonam Reddy 7-5, 6-4, after facing a little more resistance.
