ITC keen on UK hotel

New Delhi, Sept. 8: ITC today said it is keen on investing in the hotel sector in Britain following the air-services agreement between India and the UK. ?We are keen on investing in the sector especially with both countries signing the air services agreement,? ITC chairman Y.C. Deveshwar said. The company is also planning to open two ?super luxury? hotels in Chennai and Bangalore.

Suzuki chief

New Delhi, Sept. 8: Within a week of the government deciding to sell 8 per cent of its stake in Maruti Udyog , Suzuki Motor chief Osamu Suzuki called on finance minister P. Chidambaram today.

Mumbai, Sept. 8: The Securities Appellate Tribunal today directed market regulator Sebi to clarify whether the issue of global depository receipts (GDRs) amounted to public issue of shares and if such issues can be considered as non-promoter holdings.
