JOINT MANAGEMENT ENTRANCE TEST, JMET (2006) ? IITS AND IISC, BANGALORE

SUBJECT: Joint management entrance test (JMET 2006) to be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005 (10.30 - 12.30 hours) for admission to two-year full-time PG programmes in management. Programmes are: (1) MBA at IISc, Bangalore, (2) Masters of management at IIT Bombay, (3) MBA with focus on management systems, MBA with focus on telecommunication systems management at IIT Delhi, (4) MBA at IIT Kanpur, (5) MBA at IIT Kharagpur, (6) MBA at IIT Madras, (7) MBA at IIT Roorkee.

ELIGIBILITY: Candidates with a bachelors degree in engineering/ technology or equivalent, or a masters degree in any discipline from a recognised institute/university are eligible to appear for JMET. Candidates appearing for final examinations for the qualifying degree can also apply. But, they have to complete all requirements for the qualifying degree and produce a provisional certificate before a date specified by the admitting institute.

PARTICULARS: Information about the eligibility, test centres, etc. is available from the websites of IISc, Bangalore and all IITs. JMET application forms may be submitted either online (internet based) or offline (by post/ in person). Online submission can be made by directly accessing the website: http://www.iitb. ac.in/gate. The online application fee is Rs 700 (Rs 300 for SC/ST categories). For sending the application by post (offline submission) the JMET brochure and application form can be obtained in person/ by post from the GATE office of the zone in which the test centre, selected by the candidate is located.
