Mass Media Support to Agriculture Extension, a ?narrowcast? programme being aired by Aizawl Doordarshan Kendra, aims at providing necessary information on crop yield improvement.

The programme is a joint venture of Prasar Bharati and the ministry of agriculture.

Prasar Bharati has received Rs 1,15.34 crore from the Union agriculture ministry to broadcast the programmes. The station director of Aizawl Doordarshan Kendra, C. Lalrosanga, said they have been able to reach more viewers after the station established a satellite link-up from December last year.
