Seoul: China won two gold medals on Thursday in the Asian Table Tennis Championships but were denied a clean sweep of the three titles on offer on the day.
Hong kong duo Ko Lai-chak and Li Ching came back from 2-3 down to win the mens doubles gold from Chinese favourites and top seeds Wang Liqin and Chen Qi 11-7, 7-11, 9-11, 12-10, 7-11, 11-9, 11-8.
Ko and Li, silver medalists in last years Olympics in Athens, overcame a major threat earlier in the day.
They dispatched South Koreas top pairing, Ryu Seung-min, the singles gold medallist in Athens, and Choi Hyun-jin 11-7, 12-10, 13-15, 11-7, 11-6.
Earlier, Wang and Guo Yue secured the mixed doubles final for China against Ko and his Hong Kong partner Zhang Rui with a decisive 11-7, 11-4, 11-6, 11-6 win.
In the womens doubles final it was an all-China affair with the gold going to Guo Yan and Liu Shiwen in an upset over favourites Guo Yue and Niu Jianfeng 11-9, 6-11, 11-8, 13-11, 4-11, 11-9.
