Aizawl, Sept. 1: Twelve years after students of Aizawl North College complained about their principal, and two years after the college?s teaching and non-teaching staff joined the chorus, the man in question, Lalrinawma, yesterday finally faced the one-man inquiry commission set up to look into the matter.
Lecturers, non-teaching staff and former and present students of the college gathered in front of the revenue department building, where the inquiry was held yesterday. They had been summoned as witnesses as they were the complainants.
The principal had been accused of siphoning off Rs 8.22 lakh of college funds, besidesnegligence of duty and misuse of the official vehicle.
