Calcutta: Mohammedan Sporting staged a superb recovery to beat Ever-Ready 2-1 in their third match of the Premier Division at the Kalyani Stadium on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, Ever-Ready took the lead through Dhiman Sinha in the 60th minute. But Mohammedan Sporting fought back valiantly. They kept up the pressure and forced the rival defence into submission.

Raman Vijayan got his second goal of the in the 87th minute. Two minutes later, Bilal Ali scored the matchwinner.

Capitalising on a Kabijit Khotel through, Bilal got past a defender before placing the ball into the net.

The match was lively in the second session with both sides putting their attacking prowess on display. Mohammedan Sporting looked enterprising after conceding the goal and their young forwards stretched the rival defence to the hilt.
