Mukand profit at Rs 15 cr
Mukand Ltd has posted an after-tax profit of Rs 15 crore in the April-June quarter this year against a loss of Rs 17.39 crore suffered in the same period last year. Turnover of the company during the period grew to Rs 431 crore from Rs 340 crore. The company expects a turnover of Rs 2,100 crore for the year in progress, an increase of 25 per cent over the previous year.
Stewarts net
Stewarts & Lloyds of India has reported a 187 per cent increase in its profit before tax at Rs 5.69 crore for the accounting year ended June 30. Its total income during the year went up 116 per cent to Rs 110 crore from Rs 51 crore in the year-ago period. Recently, Tata Steel has transferred its controlling stake of 54.99 per cent in Stewarts & Lloyds India to Indian Oiltanking Ltd.
IOB profit
Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) has declared a net profit of Rs 183.19 crore for the quarter ended June 30, an increase of 4.9 per cent over the same period last year. Operating profit during the period fell to Rs 373.24 crore from Rs 377.79 crore in the year-ago period. The bank?s net NPA to net advances stood at 1 per cent and capital adequacy ratio at 12.70 per cent.
Usha Intl net
Usha International has recorded a 95 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 1.62 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 83 lakh achieved in the same quarter last year. Total turnover increased to Rs 134 crore from Rs 110 crore.
Indo Asian net
Indo Asian Fusegear has posted a 103 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 3.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 1.69 crore during the same quarter last year. Gross

Sterling net
Sterling Biotech has clocked a 53.6 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 26.64 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 17.34 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. Total sales during the period rose by 22.7 per cent to Rs 120 crore against Rs 97.8 crore in the year-ago period.
Marico profit
Marico has reported a 22 per cent rise in profit after tax at Rs 20.8 crore for the three-month period ended June 30 against Rs 17 crore in the same quarter last year. The company?s total revenue during the quarter grew 12 per cent at Rs 273 crore. The board of the company has declared a maiden interim dividend of 12 per cent.
Magma net
Magma Leasing has reported an after-tax profit of Rs 8.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30. Gross profit increased 62 per cent during the quarter at Rs 13.63 crore. Net disbursal was up 23 per cent at 346.05 crore compared with Rs 280.54 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
