Fest

Inauguration of Wesley College and distribution of Founder?s Day Awards at 10 am and a symposium on ?Empowerment of the girl child? at 11.30 am, as part of Calcutta Girls? High School?s 150-year celebrations, presented by TTIS, on its campus. A programme of drama, music and magic of Shakespeare at GD Birla Sabhagar, 6 pm.

Workshop

A workshop on Manipuri dance will be conducted by Darshana Jhaveri at Bharatiyam, 10 am to 5 pm.

Crafts

Monsoon Magic, an exhibition of crafts and textiles organised by Crafts Council of West bengal, at Artisana, 13, Chowringhee Terrace, 11 am to 7 pm.

Milestone

The valedictory function of the golden jubilee celebrations of Lalit Kala Akademi at Madhusudan Mancha, 6 pm. Neel Maati Laal Kankar will be staged.

Jewellery

Handcrafted and hand-blown jewellery by Burnt Sienna at Little India, 11 am to 7 pm.

Art watch

Transmigrations at CIMA Gallery, 3 pm to 7 pm. An exhibition of paintings and woodcut will be opened by Ramananda Bandyopadhyay at Academy of Fine Arts, 5.30 pm. Wasim Kapoor will inaugurate a group exhibition of paintings at Academy of Fine Arts, 3 pm.
