IDBI net at Rs 108 crore

July 30: IDBI has posted a net profit of Rs 108.51 for the first quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 307.26 crore in the corresponding quarter previous fiscal.

The financial results for the reporting quarter, however, is not comparable with that of the corresponding quarter last year as the amalgamation of IDBI Bank with IDBI Ltd was effective from October 1, 2004, the bank said in a release here today.

Total income during the reporting quarter stood at Rs 1,600.68 crore against Rs 3,282.85 crore. Aggregate assets for the bank during the quarter ended June 30 increased 1.6 per cent to Rs 82,659 crore from Rs 81,360 crore at the end of March, while total assets stood at around Rs 1,35,000 crore.

Bombay Dyeing profit jumps 104%

Bombay Dyeing today reported a 104 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 15.86 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 7.77 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income during the period has increased 18.35 per cent to Rs 272.15 crore from Rs 229.94 crore in the year-ago period, the company has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Srei bottomline up 205%

Srei Infrastructure Finance today posted a 205 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 10.94 crore for the April-June period this year compared with Rs 3.59 crore recorded in the same period last year. Its profit before tax grew 112 per cent to Rs 11.85 crore for the three months period from Rs 5.60 crore achieved in the same period in the previous year.

The company has done a total business of Rs 514 crore in the reporting quarter compared with Rs 230 crore in the same period in the year-ago period ? an increase of 124 per cent.

Birla Corp net up 15%

Birla Corporation today declared a 15 per cent jump in profit before tax at Rs 36.55 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal compared with Rs 31.83 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. Total revenue also showed a marginal growth at Rs 334.87 crore against Rs 333.28 crore in the year-ago period.
